Support bringing jazz experiences to the students of Indiana. Members of IJEA are able to have their students apply/audition to be IJEA sponsored events across the state.
Our Mission
Our mission is to promote the education, performance, scholarship and appreciation of jazz in Indiana. The IJEA seeks to provide leadership related to curricular resources, performance and pedagogy for jazz educators throughout the state. The Indiana Jazz Education Association, a non-profit volunteer group, administers and/or promotes significant jazz events such as festivals, honor bands and teaching clinics.
IJEA All-Region & All-District Bands
IJEA offers both All-Region (MS) and All-District (HS) Honor Jazz Band opportunities for the jazz students of Indiana.

IJEA All-State Jazz Bands
Each January as part of the Indiana Music Education Association's State Conference, IJEA hosts both a Junior All-State and All-State Jazz Bands. These bands have the opportunity to work with an amazing guest conductor and perform in the beautiful Embassy Theater in Ft. Wayne.
